Description:
Big twills are usually larger patterns, so bold they may be seen from across the room! There are advancing, extended, extended point, double diagonals, fancy, turned blocks, gebrochene (Ms & Ws), mixtures of twills, and even ways to take a small twill motif and expand it to a larger pattern.
Digitizing (reducing a many-shaft pattern to fewer shafts) and telescoping (enlarging a pattern from few shafts to more) will be demonstrated.
Fibers used include cotton and tencel.
Materials fee: $35. Includes notebook with extensive notes and bibliography as well as all drafts. This $35 will be payable to Debbie Todhunter on the April 24.
