Interested in weaving?

Weave a Rug is a great place to begin. It’s an opportunity to have a weaving experience and get a feel for the craft. You’ll be planning the next project before you know it!


Want to create a one of a kind gift? Weave a Rug experience creates a beautiful end product. The rugs wash well and last for years. You may find it difficult to part with your rug!

Things to know:

  • The loom is warped and ready to go.
  • It’s a rag rug created from fabric remnants.
  • You may choose fabric from our supplies or bring your own for the weft.
  • Average rug size is 27”-50”.
  • Time it takes: 3-5 hours.
  • When: Tuesdays or Fridays, starting at 10:00am.
  • Contact the MAG office for an appointment.
  • Fee $40

Weave a Tea Towel in a Day

Come and create a 100% cotton tea towel.  Using a 4-harness, floor loom, you will choose your colors, pattern(s) and work with MAG weavers to create a beautiful, functional, one-of-a-kind piece.  No prior weaving experience is necessary.

  • The loom is warped and ready to go.
  • It's a 100% cotton tea towel
  • All materials are included
  • Time it takes: 3-5 hours.
  • When: Tuesdays or Fridays, starting at 10:00am.
