Fee: $70 per person / $140 per pair
Location: MAG Community Studio - 500 N 4th Street
Description:
Birding has been a popular hobby for quite some time and these flying friends are seen all over the world in all shapes, sizes, and colors. If you or someone you know fancies a particular orb of feathers, join us to learn how to sculpt one of your favorite birds!
In this special paired class, create birds with your partner that nestle into one another. This is a beginner-friendly, two part class. You will learn (or revisit) how to make a successful pinch pot, join clay pieces together, and prepare your sculpture for glazing in the first session. In the second session, you will learn underglazing basics to color and complete your bird. Each piece will be finished with an optional unglazed or clear gloss glaze finish. Please bring a clear photo of the bird to be sculpted. Note: Bird legs will not be visible.
Pieces will be fired and available to pick up before Valentine’s Day.
*For MAG MEMBERS: If you would like the 10% MAG Member workshop discount, please pay for class in-person at MAG or over the phone. We cannot give discounts for online payments.
