Join us for a hands-on Cyanotype Workshop at MAG in celebration of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence! This immersive three-hour experience invites participants to explore the historic cyanotype process, one of the earliest forms of photography. Please note: there are 3 hours of hands-on work, with a 2 hour break after the first hour for treated papers to dry. While papers are drying, participants are free to check out the Farmers Market, explore the shops on the court square and grab some lunch.

Participants will create their own unique blue-toned prints by incorporating flowers, leaves, and other natural elements collected from the local environment. Thus blending history and nature to create one-of-a-kind artworks reflecting both the past and the present. No experience necessary—just bring your creativity and a willingness to experiment!

The workshop is funded by the Kentucky Arts Council and the Kentucky Historical Society. It is free to participants, but registration is required.

Instructors include Cintia Segovia and Kate He. We look forward to celebrating history through the art of cyanotype printing with you. Reserve your spot today! @kyartscouncil@kentuckyhistoricalsociety
